Question about ASRock automated overclock
Question about ASRock automated overclock
Hi, I own an ASRock H81M-ITX/WiFi board and recently pushed my i7-4790k to 4.9 GHz in the BIOS, which was the maximum I could achieve. After a while, it automatically settled back down to 4.7 GHz, and I can't go any higher now. Is this typical behavior?
I experience temperatures between 70 and 80 degrees Celsius during gameplay, especially in CS:GO where I maintain high FPS (around 400), but the performance drops significantly, only reaching 100 for a brief moment. My idle temps sit around 35 to 40 degrees Celsius.
Details about my setup:
- GTX 970
- 8 GB RAM
- 212 EVO fans
- 3 case fans
Another concern: the 212 EVO fans are making a rattling noise, and I’m unsure how to resolve it. It seems to stop only when I lower the fan speed. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks! 😀
