For playing like Altis Life and DayZ in Arma 3, you don’t necessarily need any DLC. The base game works well enough, though adding helicopters and other features can enhance the experience.

They function without the DLC, but to access the helicopters, weapons, and carts on that server, you must obtain the DLC.

The helicopter DLC could be beneficial for players who enjoy classic gameplay. Avoid the sniper DLC; you'll find superior weapons via mods.

ohh, bad move. Apex is looking amazing, the rest of the DLC is kinda meh from what I've seen.

If I want to use the DLC on servers, I’ll definitely need it. I won’t be playing solo unless it’s included, similar to Arma 2. It’s currently on sale and even cheaper than what’s available on G2A right now.
