I'm interested in hearing others' opinions about my situation. I've been working on getting the issue resolved since the game launched, especially because it's maxing out my 4770k @ 4.4 ghz, which is unique among games. I've spoken with Ubisoft support who seemed unhelpful, offering fixes that didn't work. They mentioned forwarding the problem to their development team in hopes of a patch. I'm hoping this means I should accept it might not get fixed or consider purchasing a new high-end CPU. My main concern is whether the game could actually be resolved and if I should wait or move on. I also tried using VSync, but it didn't help since the game still strains my GPU above 40% usage. I'm considering refunding the game and buying it on Xbox One instead, though I don't own one. I really want to play it.

Wasn't it so terrible on CPU's because of the DRM they used? Maybe it's gonna be one of those cases where pirates will have a better time with the game in a couple of months, compared to customers who bought it at the beginning. But if the DRM is the cause, the only thing you could wait for is for them to patch the DRM, either out of the game or patch it up so it isn't as CPU taxing anymore.

I don’t understand why some people say it’s true while Ubisoft denies it. It’s hard to know for sure until they finally reveal the truth. I’m not sure what to do because I really enjoy playing on PC and would prefer it there, especially since I don’t like console gaming unless absolutely necessary.

It's frustrating when a game doesn't run smoothly and support can't clarify the problems. I don’t have played it myself, but I learned from RandomGamingHD that it faced performance issues during a month-long testing period.

I hope someone reading this considers whether the game could be improved and if it’s worth waiting a while or opting for the console version. I was really hoping to enjoy this game on PC, but I’m trying to avoid switching unless absolutely necessary.

I just purchased it for my Xbox One S. I'm really pleased with it so far.

They should both play games at 1080p resolution.
