Question about a Huawei notebook without a model number.
Question about a Huawei notebook without a model number.
I own a Huawei notebook from my previous school before moving abroad. I want to upgrade it with a larger hard drive—currently it has a 500 GB drive, but no specific model is listed. Using msinfo32, it displays the installed drive type, but I need to find out the maximum supported size without exceeding 2 TB. The device runs an i5 CPU and has 8 GB of RAM. I aim for at least 16 GB and preferably 32 GB. Given my heavy browsing habits with many tabs open and multiple programs running simultaneously, I want to know the best speed and expansion limits.
Checking the HDD/SSD through the system can determine if it's a SATA or M.2 model. You should be able to swap it for an identical SSD in the same format (SATA or M.2) up to 2TB without major compatibility issues. Refer to CPU-Z under the mainboard section for more details.
