My confusion is whether I should use all four 6-pin outlets—three from one set and two from another—or only use two of them and connect the remaining to a "6+2 PCI-E" outlet. Any guidance would be very helpful, even if it means purchasing a more modular PSU.
You cannot utilize the 6 pin outlets on the PSU since they aren't designed for a GPU. Inserting a PCI-e cable would result in losing both the GPU and the PSU. Corsair PCI-e cables are acceptable. Well I'm Norwegian, so whatever hardware gets outdated in the US stays available here for a while; and the price is (converted) 1300 dollars, which is one of the cheapest I've seen in a year.
