Hello, I have a razer basilisk mouse with a 2.4 ghz dongle and I'm using my bose headset, but it skips music. I read online that this is due to the 2.4 ghz transmitter. How can I fix this? Thanks, Gerjaffers.

Confirm the specific Bose headset model you're using. Identify the transmitters or dongles by checking the front panel and rear USB ports.

It seems your mouse uses a transmitter, USB dongle, or adapter, possibly causing interference with the music and leading to skips. The frequency is 2.4 GHz.

The mouse acts as the sender, while the usb dongle functions as the receiver (it only sends signals to the computer, not receiving anything beyond configuration). The headset serves as a receiver. Unless your mouse generates strong interference with the headset, it shouldn't be the issue.

The biggest interference source in a 2.4GHz home network is typically the WiFi router. Keep your router away from the headset transmitter, or turn off the 2.4GHz function on your router if you don’t need it (most devices now use 5.1 and 5.2 GHz). I faced a similar issue with my Sennheiser WiFi headset and resolved it by disabling the 2.4GHz signal near the transmitter. You can relocate the transmitter or simply turn off the 2.4GHz if possible.

So, I use a mouse with a 2.4 GHz USB port that fits into the back of the PC via a 2.0 port. When I connect my BOSE Bluetooth headset, the music skips. I'm trying to figure out why or how to fix it.
