I own an affordable cosmic byte mechanical keyboard featuring Outemu red switches. The narrative I’m about to share is irrelevant; proceed to the next section for the actual problem. I purchased a cosmic byte keyboard, but after two weeks I began experiencing issues with multiple keys. When I returned them, they informed me they didn’t have the same model, so I needed to buy another one. I acquired this 65% keyboard and it’s also causing the same problems. Initially, I faced difficulties with the 'w' key, which resolved after a month. Later, the issue shifted to the '4' key, which eventually stopped functioning completely. Recently, I tried cleaning the switches with sanitizer, as they evaporate quickly like alcohol. This method fixed the '4' key but didn’t help with the 'A' key, even after repeated attempts over several days. Tldr: my 'A' key sometimes works, but there are days when it doesn’t function at all. To be precise, the keys either work or they don’t, with occasional delays. I’ve cleaned the keys with sanitizer because they evaporate quickly, and it worked well for about 20 to 30 minutes.

The straightforward answer would be to either get back or throw away this inexpensive keypad and buy something with higher quality and/or better reputation.

Consider changing the switch to the 'A' key using a key you rarely use
