Question 9800x3d // 9070xt ((Stuttering Problem))
I also attached a photo above showing the outlets in the PSU, my PSU only has one PCIe socket with four additional dots on it. Should I use two separate cables and connect them in the red zone instead of the single one in the blue one?
I would definitely need two separate cables. They should be included with the PSU. Have you just misplaced them?
Each 8pin can deliver 150w, making a daisy chain effectively 300, though this might vary. The PCIe slot provides 75w. Based on what I've seen, the 9070xt can reach 350w under heavy load, but there could be variations. You're right to be cautious.
I would definitely opt for two 8pin cables to eliminate any doubt and it's a solid approach.
Based on the PSU specifications, it seems there is a 16pin to 2 x 8pin connection that isn't the one I was considering. My mistake, as you pointed out in blue above, I assumed it was an 8-pin PCIe to split PCIe. This clarifies why there isn't an extra cable needed. The correct cable should supply ample power, provided both cables are used together instead of relying on the secondary 8pin from a single cable.
