I'm setting up a PC for a cousin. Which option suits everyday tasks and gaming best? The available choices are: Crucial Pro 32GB with 6000MHz CL36-38-38-80 for $89, and Corsair Vengeance 32GB with 6400MHz CL36-48-48-104 for $107.

It depends on the remaining system specifications, but I’d likely go with the 6400 kit. A DDR5 6000 CL30 kit is best if you can.

Cl is high at these frequencies, but having equal Cl results makes Corsair superior. Strong RAM at 6000Mhz requires Cl30 and 6400MHz Cl32-34.

I was thinking of writing the same as Mike and Logain. A good 6000 MHz should be CL30, but if you can't do anything else except those two kits, then choose the Corsair 6400. However, if you plan to run a X3D CPU, you might face some problems at 6400 MHz (AMD suggests 6000 MHz for a perfect 1:1 ratio).
