Hello, I’m planning to assemble a new PC for an improved gaming setup in the coming years. My usual play settings are 3440x1440 (2K ultrawide), and I don’t typically play competitive titles. Instead, I enjoy games such as Red Dead Redemption 2, Black Myth: Wukong, The Witcher, Total War, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, and Monster Hunter. For me, a consistent frame rate of 60+ FPS is essential, with lows never dropping below 45 FPS being acceptable.

In my region, I have several choices around similar price ranges:
- Ryzen 5 7500F paired with RTX 5070 Ti (or an i5-13400F for $100 less).
- Ryzen 7 7700 with RX 9070 XT.

I’m still unsure which option to pick between these two. The main point of confusion is deciding between the RX 9070 XT and the RTX 5070 Ti. Here’s my reasoning:

The RX 9070 XT offers stronger raw performance compared to the RTX 5070 Ti, but future games may require newer technologies like DLSS, FSR, Frame Generation, and Multi-Frame Generation. I believe Multi-Frame Generation could improve my chances of enjoying more titles later. Additionally, I’ve seen that DLSS generally outperforms FSR in tests, especially in games like Wukong, where frame generation looks significantly better.

I’ve also watched YouTube comparisons showing ray tracing effects both on and off. Turning it on enhances visuals, which is appealing to me. Since I don’t play eSports, a few hundred frames per second isn’t crucial for my needs. What matters most is maintaining 60+ FPS with great graphics, and keeping lows under 45 FPS. In the short term, the RTX 5070 Ti seems to provide a better ray tracing experience than the RX 9070 XT.

On the other hand, choosing the RX 9070 XT would give me more budget flexibility to pair it with a stronger CPU like the Ryzen 7 7700. This could support open-world games, strategy titles, and even streaming in certain scenarios.

I hope this helps you decide and find the best fit! Thank you!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
I prefer not to use the 13th Gen Intel platform because of its instability and degradation problems. Also, if the prices for both the RTX5070Ti and the RX 9070 XT are equal, opt for the RX 9070 XT.
In my country, I have several choices at comparable prices:
Where is this country located?
Additionally, ensure you have a stable power supply of 750W to 850W that works consistently with any GPU you select.

Vietnam, sir.
The total cost for all items in the case—main, chip, card, psu, ram—is approximately 1,600 dollars.

the ryzen 7 7700 paired with the 9070xt offers a more balanced performance and includes greater vram, which is crucial. if your setup runs out of vram, it switches to system ram, leading to lag and inconsistent gameplay.
the 7700 features multiple cpu cores, making it suitable for games that are CPU-intensive.
at 2k the cpu plays a key role, just as important as the gpu.
at 4k the gpu becomes more significant.
regarding dlls and fsr, their performance largely depends on the game's support. even with the highest framerate, poor latency can make the experience feel sluggish.
the latest nvidia 5000 series gpus often have driver problems and hardware mismatches, causing quality issues.
for a long time, nvidia users found it disappointing as performance declined from the 4000 series onward.
another reason to choose the 9070xt is the potential savings, which could be used for upgrading to more ram, depending on your current configuration.
aim for at least two sticks of the same type with a combined 32gb ddr5.

I just saw this video and was impressed by the ray tracing and patch tracing effects. Could an XP 9070 have a similar experience?

The RX 9070XT performs similarly to a 4070 Ti Super in ray tracing tasks. I found myself in a comparable situation as you did last night; I nearly ordered an RX 9070XT but then recalled how boss Huang looked in his leather jacket, which made me decide against it and go ahead and pre-order a 5080.

If finances weren’t a concern, I’d jump into the 5080 without hesitation =)). But right now, the 5070 Ti looks like a better option.
Driver will adjust over time, so it should work.
So, brother, do you think the R5 7500F plus the 5070 Ti is worth it?

Finding the optimal choice can be challenging. If the 7500F isn't suitable, the next available option would be Zen 6 in 12 to 18 months, which might not be ideal for replacement.
