Hello everyone.
Gu605mi is the rog zepherus g16. Typo.
It should change between Intel CPU graphics and the 4070 based on what you're using. But when I run superposition and or heaven benchmark, it doesn't switch properly. I see 11 fps at 4k. In Task Manager it only shows Intel Arc Graphics. Under Device Manager it displays both. In Device Manager the 4070 has an exclamation mark on it. GPUz also lists Arc as primary and the 4070 underneath.
What's happening? Thx

Are you sure the armoury crate is still active? Please verify that the device/gpu power saving mode is configured to the standard setting.

To confirm it is kicking in, check for the expected movement or action associated with the kick.

You should perform a comparison by running benchmarks and checking if using dgpu improves performance over igpu.

I need my 4090 to activate automatically during a game or benchmark. It should do this automatically, as it's already set up in the Armoury crate to adjust based on heavy graphics use.

Is this Optimus or Advanced Optimus? All configurations for either are managed in NVIDIA Control Panel. Choose "Automatic Select" for Advanced Optimus (if available), or opt for "Optimus" (for standard Optimus) or disable Optimus entirely using the 4070, relying on your GPU only. Ensure both GPU drivers are current, and your power plan is set to Balanced or Performance. Be mindful that switching isn't always smooth; you can adjust which GPU is selected in NVIDIA Control Panel under Manage 3D settings -> Program settings (select or add then choose the relevant program) -> Preferred Graphics Processor. This setting can also be modified in Windows Settings -> Gaming -> Game Mode -> Graphics. Click the game with a left click, then use the drop-down to set your GPU preference. I have all mine configured to let Windows decide. It displays which GPU will be active. I'm still unsure about the relevance of the Win11 setting since I left it untouched.

(Edit) To add:
I rely on reference drivers (NVIDIA, Intel) for both GPUs without any problems. Results may vary but note that Intel drivers have seen several updates recently. Previously, Optimus didn't function properly for me; updating the Intel GPU drivers fixed this. At that time, it replaced the Intel Graphics Software with Arc Control and then switched back to Intel Graphics software. It felt a bit unusual.

Updated the GPU drivers from the ASUS website and everything is working fine now. I performed some GPU benchmarks and the 4090 really shines. Wow, this thing is amazing! I'm really impressed. lol
