Question 3700x & x570 crash with OC cure?
Question 3700x & x570 crash with OC cure?
I have attempted nearly all solutions, dedicating around 40 hours to resolving my persistent issues and BSODs.
I reached a difficult point with Timmy Joe PC Tech's video (link) discussing GB+3700x configuration. He mentioned compatibility problems due to voltage management, which often causes these crashes.
Thanks to him, I discovered another discussion on the forum about constant BSOD after upgrading to ZEN 2. Two users there managed to fix it by adjusting clock speed and power settings.
I’m still a beginner in overclocking and BIOS tweaks, so I’m unsure how to apply these changes.
Could anyone provide a quick summary or a Ryzen master preset? My system details are:
MB: x570 Aorus pro rev 1
PSU: 850 w
CPU: 3700x
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200 Mhz
GPU: EVGA 980 ti
- 3 SSD - 1 HDD
Using 4GHz is a significant slowdown. That's a loss of good CPU performance. If the issue lies with MB, I'd remove it quickly.
I previously owned an ASUS Prime X570-P and submitted a return request due to a faulty RAM slot, thinking it was the main problem. For replacement, I purchased the X570 Aorus Pro, assuming it was a superior motherboard. The issue could also relate to the first release of the Ryzen 7 chipset with Gigabyte. Could you assist in interpreting these remarks as settings? I’d like to explore that option.
I just removed the RAMs, as the problem was there—completely swapping them with new ones from the QVL list.
I also looked at the thermal paste and pads on the GPU.
