Hi everyone, I've been facing issues with low frame rates in many games for a long time, regardless of the engine or settings. Recently, I downloaded Forza Horizon 5 and was able to run it smoothly at around 60fps with medium graphics, but it still stutters heavily no matter the settings. I noticed it draws about 130 watts, while other games draw significantly more—over 200 watts in benchmark videos. The built-in Forza benchmark shows normal CPU performance but a very low GPU. After installing FURMARK, my GPU usage jumped to around 330 watts, which is more than double. I've adjusted the Windows settings for better performance and reinstalled the GPU drivers, but that didn't help. Two months ago, a power outage damaged my RX5700XT and affected the PSU, so I replaced them. I'm not sure if that matters, but it's worth knowing. Recently, a power failure caused my PC to shut down and damaged the PSU, so I changed them again. I installed a new Windows 10 recently, but it didn't make a difference. My PC specs are: GPU Zotac 3070ti Amp Holo, CPU Intel i9 9900K, RAM HyperX Predator 1x16 CL16 3200MHz (two 8GB were tried but didn't improve performance), MB Auros Z390 Pro Wifi, PSU Corsair HX1200, running Windows 10. Thanks for your help.

You need a new motherboard soon, especially if Channel B is unavailable. Dual-channel needs dimming in both Channels A and B. Having just two dims in one channel means it's single-channel mode. Check if the motherboard is under warranty before purchasing a replacement.

I relocated my GPU to the bottom slot and performance improved significantly, though it hasn<|pad|>'s been satisfactory. The motherboard isn't covered by warranty, so I'm attempting to locate a replacement. It seems the issue lies with the motherboard rather than the GPU, and I doubt dual-channel would greatly help.

It seems to vary based on the title, but in general? Yes, dual channel functionality is essential.
Following that, others will need to reconsider the software running on your PC or whether you've accidentally installed something harmful.
