Question 2 out of 3 GPU power is lost when restarting from sleep on Windows 11 on an AMD Mini PC.
After waking up from sleep, the FurMark GPU Benchmark at 800x600 falls from 60fps to 15-20fps, and when playing 1080p video with MadVR it uses 22% to 100% GPU power. A reboot seems to restore normal performance.
During the past couple of weeks I’ve performed SSD wipes, installed clean Windows versions 24H2 and 25H2, tried the latest AMD drivers, and used Display Driver Remover in Safe Mode. The AMD chipset drivers were also added.
Someone else has encountered similar issues.
I’ve been using Hibernate instead of Sleep for the last few days, and the GPU problem no longer occurs.
Appreciate any assistance.
John.
I have performed SSD wipes and executed clean installs for Win11 24H2 and 25H2.
Additionally, I reviewed a thread from a few months back that discussed using a custom OS package available on the mini PC's support site. We discovered the drivers were outdated, so manual installation of the newest drivers was necessary during an offline clean install via the official support portal, not the standard Microsoft installer.
I’m having trouble locating the thread or a specific support portal for your mini-PC model.

Despite other versions being listed, this appears to be the correct one.
This issue seems driver-related. In Safe Mode, use DDU to eliminate all GPU drivers (Intel, Nvidia, AMD), then restart and manually install the latest driver from AMD’s official support site in an elevated command prompt—right-click the installer and select Run as Administrator.
For chipset references, refer to:

For GPU drivers, download:

Recommended installation sequence: BIOS updates → OS updates → chipset driver install → GPU driver install.
Attempting to proceed, but issues persist.
Did not succeed.
Internet disconnected, display driver removed in safe mode with DDU, restarted Windows, updated chipset driver, tried again but encountered Error 182.
Checked multiple sources and downloaded the same driver, still faced the same problem. Managed to install it manually after an AMD update, but performance dropped significantly during sleep.
Benchmark showed 60fps initially, then fell to 23fps afterward.
Please advise on next steps.
