Hey, I plugged my laptop into a cable that usually goes in my computer. Guess it read like my usual download speed! My PC is still slow though. I'm really stuck now. Is this problem coming from my computer? But how can you tell, because the issue happened on two different machines too.

So let move back a bit. What does port connect at. You say 1000mbps but that is 1gbit. Why do you think the pc is slow what tests have you done that show that. If you are running at 100mbps then you have 2 options. You have a bad cable or you have a bad port. The only way to fix a bad port is to replace the motherboard or buy a add in board. It is very rare for a port to fail. The problem with bad cables is some machine will tolerate a out of spec cables better than other ones. In some was it would be nice if they would just not work at all when they go bad.

So actually 1000mbps isn't what's happening right now. It just says so but only when I plug it into my room port. My internet is slow compared to how fast it usually goes, not because of my PC at all. I didn't explain that clearly enough. Now about the cable and the port. I think the cable shouldn't be the issue since my laptop gets the same fast internet with the same cable. It would be really bad if just the port was causing the problem since I had the same issue before. If I reset my PC the way I did earlier, I also get that fast connection too. So I guess it's probably some kind of software or something like that going wrong.
