Over the last four days, I’ve been consistently encountering severe packet loss exclusively within the game “Rust.” Here are my system specifications: GTX 1070, i7-7700 @ 3.6GHz, 16GB RAM. Prior to this issue, I'd never experienced any lag or performance problems (ping/fps), so I believe it’s not related to my hardware; furthermore, the problem is isolated to “Rust.” My connection is a wired one, eliminating Wi-Fi as a factor. My internet connection details are: 150 Mbps download / 30 Mbps upload speed. Speed tests yield results of approximately 143 download, 17 upload, and 14 latency. I’ve attempted numerous troubleshooting steps, including replacing ethernet cables and restarting my modem for 24 hours, without success. The only potential lead is information suggesting that my internet provider supplies a combined modem and router unit – a “gateway,” as they call it. I urgently need assistance resolving this issue; any support would be greatly appreciated.

an update: the issue continues despite contacting my internet service provider and requesting they “reset” their equipment—which is frustrating.
