Quantum Break is set to launch on Steam (Warning: Avoid downloading it)
Microsoft listened to PC gamers and has decided to continue improving the platform (this time really). We’re sharing Quantum Break via Steam—just without DX12. To run it smoothly on your PC, you’ll need a 1080 graphics card. If you try it and drop below 60fps on 1080p, the experience will be terrible. Check out the update here: http://www.overclock3d.net/news/software...ly_on_pc/1. Be careful—don’t spend more than two hours on it if you preordered, or you might get a refund.
Are there adjustable graphics options to optimize performance and frame rate?
Are you looking for a Titan XP to push a game to 1080p in 2016? This isn't really important since the system doesn't support SLI or Crossfire, and performance like this is just too poor. The game handles it by scaling resolution, so what you see is essentially 720p upscaled.
It seems Microsoft isn't advancing coding skills anymore, which is problematic for any game. Even with high-end systems, 720p struggles to deliver smooth performance, and these issues feel like shortcuts.
I just checked Tweak Town’s stats on the Windows Store update and it seems the game isn’t great overall for PC. Personally, I’ve never liked Microsoft titles. For me, a good game would be one with manageable system demands—something that doesn’t push your CPU to 100% every time. I’m frustrated with Forza Horizon 3’s high CPU usage on my 6600k processor. It would help if Microsoft recruited more developers for Windows projects.
