They can't be mixed directly, but some sources suggest compatibility between certain types. For connecting two Mikrotik CRS326-24S+2Q+RM units in different rooms, you may need to check if an SMF module fits the switch's port type. The QSPF+ ports are listed only for MMF modules, so an SMF might not work directly. A possible workaround is using four SPF+ ports and bonding them together. This could be a more cost-effective solution.

SFP, SFP+, and QSFP+ work together seamlessly in any configuration. Adapters exist to convert a QSFP+ connection into an SFP+ port.

You noticed the adapters during your search for various modules. Our office already has an SFP+ to RJ45 adapter for the 10Gbps network.
