I had Spectrum modem, TV box, and internet. It connected to my Netgear RAX45 router with WiFi 6. Then I switched to AT&T Fiber using an Arris BTW210-700 gateway. The gateway is about six months old, so the manual from November 2016 doesn't match what's new today. They sold me a newer BGW320-500 with WiFi 6, but I didn't buy it because I'm not sure if it fits my needs.

I plugged the gateway into the Netgear router and turned off the Gateway's Wi-Fi radios. Most things worked fine, except for two apps: PumpSpy and Hunter-Douglas PowerView. Once I took the router out of the mix, both apps fixed themselves. That leaves me stuck between Spectrum and AT&T with no clear winner.

I still have a Spectrum cable box on one TV, so everything is working there. For the other TVs, I use the Spectrum app on Roku devices. Before switching internet providers, I had all my streaming channels at home on every TV. Like most TV services, some "to go" channels are turned off away from the Wi-Fi. My problem is that even with my new home internet, the Spectrum app thinks I'm not in the house. The error says "connect to Spectrum In-Home WiFi to watch."

Spectrum says AT&T gave me a gateway with an outside area IP. AT&T says it's a Spectrum issue. Here are my questions:
1. Can anyone tell me how to make the Spectrum app recognize my AT&T gateway as my "home" device?
2. Is it worth trying to make the router work well with the gateway, like using an IP pass-through? Aside from better Wi-Fi 6 and antennas, I don't think there are many benefits here. I already have other TP-Link WAPs that give me enough coverage.
3. Does AT&T's Active Armor act as a firmware firewall in the gateway? They call it a complete security solution (you can turn it off), but it doesn't sound right to me. Do I still need antivirus software on my computer?

I got this problem with Frontier too. Most of the channels work through the Roku app, like you can open TNT or TBS apps on your Roku device.

I tried using the Bally Sports app before, but it didn't work well either. Some of the other channels causing trouble are less critical right now, though I'd still prefer getting all the channels that my subscription covers.

I know that the Bally sports app isn't super good yet, and I haven't even tested it out yet on my Roku TV.
