Q: Discord streaming feels choppy when I'm running at 100% GPU power.
Hey there, I'm trying my best because Google translate is acting up for me right now. My problem comes from Discord while streaming God of War to my girlfriend and we noticed the stream got choppy. It used to work fine before because I had streamed it before without this issue happening. I think the problem starts when the GPU hits 100%. I tested the old drivers (466.47) back then and they looked good on screen, but now with my new ones (522.25), things break down. Of course, I want to use the current ones and not those from last year. Is there any fix? I already tried turning off hardware acceleration and video codecs, etc. It's important to clarify that the game looks super smooth when I play it myself, but it gets choppy as seen on the stream.
I have a friend who had this trouble, and he was using the Discord app on his computer. We made him run the website version instead (which uses less memory and CPU time), and now he is gaming full speed with no problems! Maybe you could try that too? Just get out of your app, go to the Discord website, log in there, and watch—your screens look exactly the same!
