Q-Code x570 02
Q-Code x570 02
Hello! After trying it over 100 times and looking up solutions, I decided to give it another go. My setup is: ROG Crosshair VIII Hero Wi-Fi (x570) AMD 5950x - Ryzen 9 Gigabyte GV-N3090 RTX 3090 2x Seagate Firecuda M2 2x16 Gskill Trident Z Royal (32GB), Corsair Hydro Series H100i 3x Corsair LL120 Series EVGA Supernova 1000 G+ 80 Plus Gold 100W. Now I’ve figured out the issue: I keep getting Q-code error 02. When I power on, it cycles through normal steps but freezes at 02 with the white LED lit and green (Boot) light on, but no signal appears. I’ve tried several troubleshooting steps—removing GPU, reseating it, swapping RAM, using just one stick, booting without RAM, testing other sticks, connecting via HDMI or another monitor—but the problem persists. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead!
I think this appears to be a post code rather than an error code. Your system is freezing during the post... Please verify the PSU cables if they work, clear the CMOS reseat memory again, and also inspect for issues such as bent pins or dust in the socket. @Jcosstv
Thank you for your support. I’m sure they can assist me—any guidance would mean a lot. I’ll review all my cables as you recommended!
I frequently receive code 02 with my CH VIII Hero Wi-Fi when RAM or IF OC fails. In such situations I see no display signal yet the motherboard insists on starting a BIOS setup by pressing F1. Try pressing F1 and observe if the Q-code alters afterward. If it does, press ESC, then press ENTER to attempt booting. If not, reset CMOS and retry or update the BIOS using the USB flashback function to a newer version.
I tried the F1 key, it switched from 02 to AA but no signal appeared. Once it stabilized at AA, I pressed ESC and Enter without any response on the screen. After turning off the PC and performing a CMOS reset, I forgot to mention that I updated the BIOS using the USB flashback yesterday. Could this be indicating a dead GPU?
