Hello, I received code 96 on my motherboard yesterday. At first it didn’t boot and showed a D6 error, but now it starts Windows with 96. I’m currently using BIOS version 3801. Here are the details: CPU – Ryzen 9 5950X, Motherboard – Asus ROG X570 Crosshair VIII Hero (WiFi), GPU – MSI 1080 Ti Sea Hawk X, two M.2 drives connected, and an HDD powered by a 650W PSU.

Do you possess the GPU in the upper port? As per the guide, this corresponds to a PCI resource allocation. Consider using a different GPU if available. Also, clear out everything except the essentials required to boot into the operating system, such as other PCI cards.
