Hello everyone. I just purchased an Asus TUF B360-Pro Gaming (Wi-Fi) motherboard, all connections are working properly. However, the PWR LED indicator stays on continuously. Could you clarify what it’s linked to or if this is normal? It should remain active, but I want to be sure. Thanks!
This indicator confirms the motherboard receives adequate power. ASUS has included this feature on many of their motherboards for years. Additional LEDs (such as BOOT, VGA, DRAM, CPU) should only activate during booting or POST to inform users about the system status. They should deactivate once the computer starts running Windows. If it bothers you slightly, you might consider covering it with electrical tape or similar material.
I believe the motherboard doesn't have diagnostic LEDs, I didn't notice them in the images and there were no mentions of them in the manual. It seems the only LED might be the power indicator. For covering them, I use black Kapton tape which provides a subtle tint, making them less noticeable but still allowing me to check if they're on. If you don't have any, regular electrical tape works just fine.
Exactly as you mentioned. All other board features like (BOOT), VGA, DRAM, and CPU activate only at startup and then shut down rapidly.
