The slight increase in MT/s offers a smaller benefit compared to the advantages of better timing speeds.

They would perform similarly well. The Ryzen 9000 typically hits around 6000Mhz CL30, often slightly cheaper than the 6400Mhz option with only a minor 1-3 fps variation. Here are some images from Hardware Unboxed covering RAM and the 9800X3D.

Great choice! The 6000MT/s CL30 kit looks like a solid option, especially since it’s more affordable. Thanks for the helpful feedback and the screenshots!

No Problem This will be a damn good PC with a 9800X3D and RTX 5000 series GPU. Are you eyeing the 5080 or 5090? Oooh man I am looking forwards to CES for AMD's and Nvidia's keynote. Only 7-8 more days

Six thousand with short deadlines feels ideal for DDR5 right now. Keep in mind there are only two sticks available. Despite the latest chipsets and memory controllers, we're still dealing with an unstable phase. (Hey everyone from my 3BP crew!)

It depends on the costs of the 50 series. I'm still setting aside funds for the build and I'm hoping to secure a 5090. That would also help with future-proofing. Can't wait for CES!

You have a few options—your 4080 works well at 1440p, and you’re considering upgrading to a 5090 or 5080 for better performance. It’s totally fine if you don’t need the newer models right now.

I also checked a bit on that topic, and I’m thinking about getting a 64GB 2 stick setup.

I feel the strong desire to upgrade my gear. After waiting a long time, I’m really looking forward to putting together a brand-new setup once more.
