Purchasing a modem
Currently, my family is using a rented modem. My dad helped me compare options. The Netgear model is expected to be the top 1GB modem. He’s holding off on buying it until prices fall. On Amazon, the item shows as in stock for $130, but checking details reveals only used units available. I’m curious if there are more affordable alternatives that have stayed around $165 recently when they switched to used listings.
Sorry, I didn't see that link. You're currently seeing a 300MB file, but you intend to upgrade to a 1GB version in the future.
The CM1000 and SB8200 are both excellent modems. The SB8200 is currently more affordable: https://www.amazon.com/ARRIS-SURFboard-A...B07DY16W2Z
others claim the Puma 7 still faces performance problems, while others say it's been resolved; however, both versions seem to have security concerns.
