Purchasing a fresh gaming computer and feeling uncertain about certain components
Initially change the power source.
Remove the outdated mechanical hard drive as well...
opt for a secondary M.2 drive instead.
Switch to a motherboard compatible with B850 chipset.
Personally, I’d also consider swapping the case.
If your monitor supports 1080p at 60/75Hz, I recommend upgrading to a
1440p 144/165/240Hz IPS panel.
The newest generation of AMD and Nvidia graphics cards includes PCIe 5.0 compatibility, which means you should consider a board that matches this standard for your card. This setup enhances performance with a top-tier SSD and delivers a solid 1440P gaming display. The Asus model below features dual BIOS support to prevent excessive noise. This board provides ample PCIe lanes and bandwidth for several M.2 SSDs. Upgrade to a higher-end board and integrate this drive into your setup, achieving a total storage capacity of 6TB.
I'm not sure if I should touch Nvidia cards right now.
Not because I usually buy AMD either.
More so due to driver problems and other issues affecting Nvidia.
And that's not to say I should stop buying AMD either.
I would wait and see what Intel brings with the b770, then make a decision!
100% open for the 870 series at this point, 650 and 670 models seem really pointless.
I'm going to stick with my ROG crosshair X670e because it's a higher-end board and should work until AM6...
Hello once more
Gratitude goes to all who contributed and for the delays. Thanks to your efforts and some extra research, I’ve put together this configuration. Please share your thoughts on it—whether it’s the power supply being too poor or the motherboard lacking strength compared to the CPU/GPU.
