Purchased DDR4 memory, yet it isn't functioning properly.
Hi everyone, just got my new DDR4 8GB Corsair 2666MHz stick and everything checked out. The other stick I have is also DDR4 8GB but 2400MHz. When I plug it in, it works fine. However, after turning on the PC, a red blinking LED appears next to the RAM, flashing between "CPU" and "RAM." The motherboard lists it next to the RAM. Removing the stick fixes everything. I’m not sure what’s going wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Merry Christmas.
Also, your motherboard only has two RAM ports, meaning there are no A slots or B slots available.
mismatched ram isn't assured to fit together; I'd simply send this one and receive a matching unit. these ram modules might come from various manufacturers (SK Hynix, Samsung, Micron, etc.).
You can look up the model number on the packaging or manufacturer’s website. For Micron RAM, check their official site or contact support for confirmation.
