I received my laptop without an operating system, so I bought Windows 8 at the store. However, when trying to install it on a 1TB hard drive, I encountered an error: http://gyazo.com/79cd6905fa9335ce3c40d8ee1d46ae9c. The message reads, "Can not install Windows on this drive, selected drive has a MBR (...). On EFI systems you can only install Windows on a GPT drive." Please help me.

Remove the partition, then format the drive and install it on the hard drive.

Use the command prompt to replace the old MBR file. If the laptop runs an OS, remove the existing one first. Then delete both the 1TB drive and the MBR, then create a new partition.

Just remove every partition from the Windows installation folder and start over.

It would be simple if I discovered a video showing the steps, since I’m not sure how to do it myself.

You can find instructions for deleting partitions in your BIOS settings or Windows 8 configuration files. Check the system partition table or use the disk management tool available in Windows to remove unwanted partitions.

On that display, the one you shared in your initial message, you need to emphasize the section at the beginning and then tap delete

Remove partitions entirely. If your system supports UEFI-Bios, it’s better to format using GPT, especially with an SSD, since booting from GPT is more secure according to what I understand.
