Purchased a Schiit Fulla as a substitute for my SoundBlaster X, but only received erratic audio interruptions.
I recently purchased a Schiit model Fulla, but it has been causing problems consistently. No matter what I do—checking YouTube, playing games, chatting on Discord—I experience sudden audio cuts lasting anywhere from three to ten seconds. Windows will abruptly disconnect the device and attempt to locate another audio source before returning to the Fulla just moments before dropping again. It’s really frustrating, and even with friends, we’re all puzzled about what’s happening. I’ve tried everything from different cables and drivers to changing USB ports on the motherboard and case. I reached out to Schiit support, but they’ve only advised repeating the basic steps I’ve already tried. Anyone else encountered this issue and found a solution?
1. Attempt linking the second USB power supply to a different source, such as a phone charger.
2. Document your motherboard model, as connection problems might stem from it; consider updating the BIOS.
3. If none work, the device could be faulty or there may be a grounding problem in your setup. Certain audio gear can highlight hidden issues.
Ensure your setup runs on ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING BIOS 4801 or later version.
I’d also verify that all SoundBlaster-related programs have been removed.
I’m not entirely sure, but I believe the issue arises when launching the game. That’s what I notice—sound returns briefly after disabling and re-enabling it in the settings. Ignore all of that.
