Purchased a fresh motherboard but not receiving Ethernet connection.
I bought the PRO H610M-G DDR4, mother bord from MSI as an upgrade for my build, Once Installed, I turned on and was met with windows saying, you cant sign in cause you aint connected to the internet. So i checked the Ethernet cable and it all worked testing the cable and wall jack with my laptop. Once i could tell that it is not the cable, I went to go update my drivers. I went to mis' websight and downloaded the drivers and installed them, so i thought that would fix it, no it didnt. I even tried down grading to an older version of bios to see if that would help, It didnt The last thing i did was go into the bios and look for LAN and it was on. I tried going ot msi support but i coulnt even make a ticket that would actually work. So now i am stuck, i dont know what to do, i cant go into windows cause i cant log in cause i cant connect to the internet. Please help (also to clarify, this is a completluy already existing system that i just changed the mother board out, that is the only thing that changed, I can using windows 10, Just saying this incase someone though this was that windows 11 problem that happened when installing windows)
In the worst situation, the onboard network chip malfunctions. Your only option is to purchase a separate PCI-E Ethernet card (USB is preferable) and connect it. In the best case, you forgot to install the drivers for the Ethernet card.
Download the LAN driver from Intel's official site. https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/...-pack.html
I saved this file and extracted it, but I’m unsure which one to install as the driver.
Open Device Manager, locate your network card in the list, right-click it, choose Update Driver. Instruct Windows to search for new drivers in the folder where you extracted the archive. You have an i219-v gigabit ethernet card. If necessary, concentrate on the PRO1000 folder, since PRO40GB is likely for 40Gbps cards, PRO2500 for 2.5G Ethernet cards, and so on. For instance, PRO1000\Winx64\W11 will let Windows auto-detect the driver from that directory.
You're always able to log in, whether it's Win 10 or 11. Just look for "online bypass" on YouTube. A few registration hacks can help you in.
