I bought a basic 43-inch 4K TV from Hisense, and it seems to turn off when I try higher resolutions like 1080p or lower. It works fine with lower resolutions but stops altogether for HD content. I’m hoping it’s still under warranty, but the return frame looks bad. I’m looking for advice on how to fix it myself—it just sits there all day in the menu, but it shuts off when I play high definition videos. Someone suggested using a desk fan to see if that helps.

Did you link it to the web? It might require a firmware update to resolve the issue.

It seems the latest update indicates a power supply or power-related concern. I attempted to link an older Fire Stick to ease CPU strain, but it actually worsened the problem.

You should definitely take advantage of the warranty, even though it may seem complicated. If you begin to examine it and push inside, you risk canceling the protection.

Based on this, it seems the setup might not have been done correctly by HighSense, though it's possible they included the model number in the operating system.

The warranty wasn’t accepted because it seemed to be used second hand. I resolved the issue by taking it off the wall, removing the back panel, and realizing the heatsink was hanging loose. If anyone else faces this Hisense problem, it might indicate a serious lack of quality control.

It seems like this item might be used or altered before sale. Confirming its history isn’t straightforward, especially with past owners. According to recent sources, Hisense appears reliable.

I purchased it from a clearance seller on eBay. It came in a box, essentially new from the factory, and the manufacturing date indicated it was only a few months old. According to Hisense, it’s considered second-hand, so they might be correct—perhaps it was repackaged after being returned.
