I intended to replace the 2GB RAM with a 4GB model in dual-channel mode, but I forgot about the speed settings. The person mentioned Windows supports 2GB at 1333MHz and 4GB at 1600MHz. Should I stick with the same setup or switch to the higher-speed configuration? Which option performs better? Also, if you're unsure, consider replacing it just in case the original RAM is faulty. If possible, swap it out; if not, as mentioned, the 1600 will operate at 1333 to align with the slower stick.
I can swap the 4GB 1600MHz RAM for another 1600MHz one. Additionally, let me know if you need advice on setting up your laptop to handle RAM with varying frequencies.
