I need a laptop that can handle games and be lightweight for my future studies. The price gap between the 3060 and 2060 models is about $700, so should I choose the 2060? In terms of being prepared for the future, or perhaps waiting until prices for the 3060 drop?

No device can remain fully prepared for the future, whether it's under $1,000 or $3,000. You have about three to five years to get the most out of it.

I believe the upgrade makes sense since the 2060 is already quite outdated. The 3060 is a different model, and the 7nm manufacturing process for the 3060 should help it run cooler and more efficiently. A stronger CPU would also be beneficial.
