Planning to buy Rainbow 6, curious about the advantages of purchasing via Offline versus Steam during the sale. Both options are priced identically, and I doubt the Ubi club discount would work on a discounted item.

It doesn't offer any advantages when purchasing via Steam. The process still requires installation and launching, along with uPlay management, which adds extra steps.

I appreciate it through Steam, keeping everything in one spot makes sense. Yes, I understand you can include non-Steam titles too. I also enjoy seeing how much time I spent playing and the screenshots on Steam—it helps me stay on track. My Steam profile is something I like to keep looking cool.

I favor storing my Ubisoft titles on Uplay because you’ll need to use it there anyway.

It's likely a Ubisoft release, and purchasing it via Uplay would be ideal. I personally bought The Division on Steam, but it often required some technical adjustments with Uplay to get the game running smoothly—sometimes causing crashes. It might have been a problem specific to my setup, or maybe other Rainbow Six players experience similar issues through Steam.
