Looking for the best deal on Windows 8.1. You’ll need to install it from a USB drive, but you can download the ISO file and use it to set it up on your desktop. Running Windows 10 won’t interfere with the installation process.

It varies by location. Online shops like Newegg and Amazon work well, though delivery could be an issue. The Microsoft Store is another option. You won't be able to install it directly from your Windows 10 desktop, and even if you could, a fresh installation is still advised. Also, confirm you're using Windows 10 version 8.1, not 8.0, to avoid reinstall challenges.

I used to have 7, now I'm testing 8.1. Version 10 works well but causes compatibility problems.
