I checked the uninstall list and found the software installed. It’s not recommended to remove it unless you’re certain it’s no longer needed.

Appears to be a Bing or Ask toolbar you didn’t wish to install alongside another program. It functions similarly to VAC, but now labeled as VAC.

the only item I remembered installing was a blacklight retribution, which was the sole download I made on October 4th, 2014.

Punkbuster was released for Cod 4 as well, so having it and playing it will keep you connected unless you don't have the latest version.
