I need a simpler 32-bit Linux option with good media support. Something lightweight but still updated and secure. You mentioned your current setup is using the last 32-bit Ubuntu version, which isn’t performing well, so I’m looking for a more efficient distribution. Let me know your system specs if you’d like tailored suggestions.

Regarding 32-bit compatibility, the choices are quite restricted. For these older systems, MX Linux is commonly recommended, while the only other distros I know that support 32-bit are Debian and Arch Linux 3 2. Among those, Debian and MX tend to be more user-friendly. I’d likely opt for a minimal installation with Kodi (using kodi-gbm if it’s available and compatible, otherwise kodi-x11) as the main graphical interface.

I've been using MX Linux on 32-bit systems recently. It's labeled as a "mid-weight" distribution. https://mxlinux.org/

It's unclear if Kodibuntu is still active, but it was essentially a fast, lightweight method to run Kodi—a flexible media PC interface. The wiki link provided points to its past, though you could simply switch to Ubuntu and install Kodi manually.
