Pubg freezing

Hello, in the past 15 days I've experienced freezing issues in PUGB, especially during duels or solo play on maps. Sometimes I get a freeze lasting about 5 seconds, and during that time the CPU reaches 100% while the GPU drops to 0%. This happens in buildings after using MSI Afterburner. It usually occurs 2-3 times per map, though sometimes the game lags but my FPS stays at 100+ with no packet loss. My PC specs are: I7 7700, 1070 Ti, 16GB RAM (3000 MHz), 250 GB SSD (Samsung M2), Windows 10 Pro, playing at 2560x1440 resolution. I have the latest drivers, ping is 40 ms, no packet loss, and online games like Metro Exodus on Extreme perform perfectly with no freezing or lag. What should I do?

Check if your processor is getting too hot and if any other processes are consuming maximum resources.

The CPU temperature is around 65-70 and the GPU is at 75°C with no background activity. It seems the issue might be related to the dp 1.2 cable, so I'll test changing it to HDMI.

I encountered the identical issue when beginning the game, initially suspecting a PUGB glitch. However, it turned out to be my slow laptop; after switching to a different one, the performance became significantly smoother.
