Hi Guys!
I'm thinking about upgrading my PC with these specs:
CPU - I5-13600K
Motherboard - Asus B660
GPU - NVidia 1660 Supper
I plan to use it for video editing and gaming.
Is a 500W PSU still suitable for this build?

It could be challenging to locate a reliable 500 watt power supply, especially based on your location.
Higher quality options usually start at 550 watts or more.

there is more to consider than just power consumption for the PSU, you should also verify that it comes from a trustworthy manufacturer and platform.

Do you have a 500w psu? If yes, what is its make/model and age? I noticed that several power supplies with ratings ending in 00 tend to be older low-quality units where the voltage isn't properly delivered on the 12v rails, which modern processors and graphics cards require. Assuming the 1650 super isn't an overclocked version needing more than a single 8-pin connector, you should be fine.

It varies based on the specific PSU model. Some are unreliable and might fail if you draw 300 watts from them.
If I were purchasing a new PSU, I would aim for a quality unit in the 750/850 watt range to accommodate potential future upgrades.
