About two months back I assembled my initial computer. Upon powering it on for the first time, the only sound I detected was this unusual rattling noise. At that moment I assumed it was related to the stock AMD cooler (Ryzen 5600G Wraith Stealth), so I returned the CPU for a replacement model (Ryzen 5600) and replaced the cooler with a Fera 5. The problem continued. Later, I discovered that the source of the noise was my PSU (Cooler Master MWE GOLD-V2 750W), which led me to request an RMA. Even after switching the PSU to an XPG Core Reactor 750W, the same sound remained. Was it mere coincidence and a second instance of a faulty fan, or could the motherboard be involved? Or is there something else at play? Additionally, I noted that the PSU fan points downward, and it’s uncommon for the motherboard to produce very quiet or brief buzzing sounds.

Before jumping to conclusions about the PSU fan, I tested every component by manually stopping them with my hand.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Current configuration:
MB: GIGABYTE X B550 GAMING V2
RAM: Kingston FURY 16GB (2x8GB) 3200MHz CL16
SSD: WD Blue SN570
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600
GPU: POWERCOLOR Radeon RX 6700XT Hellhound 12GB
PSU: XPG Core Reactor 750W 80 Plus Gold
Case: Corsair 275R Airflow

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! I don't believe it's about ending up with two PSUs and bad fans inside them. It might be worth checking the PSU for any foreign objects that could be entering the fan or intake. I've seen cases where a loose cable was touching the fan in a PSU. Is this happening on top of a carpet?

The case is positioned on a wooden-paneled floor. I also verified for any foreign objects near the fan outside the PSU, but no issues were detected. I attempted to inspect the PSU through the fan opening, yet nothing was found.
