If PCPartPicker suggests around 690 watts, will it work well? The Straight Power 12 850 W 80+ Platinum model seems to offer sufficient margin.
Yes, it should work with that setup. The graphics card only requires a decent 600w unit, which should suffice. It's not my top choice, but the 750w model we checked out is acceptable. There might be cheaper alternatives available in your area.
The ~690W figure assumes no CPU power caps (about 400W) plus 190W for the GPU and around 100W for other components. The 850W model provides ample capacity.
Everyone, thank you. My first attempt is really challenging—I'm struggling to coordinate everything. I chose the "be quiet" option because of my budget and Platinum level. The 750 model has a solid review here.
I searched for days trying to find popular PSUs with positive reviews, but nothing came up.

In Texas, I live about 65 miles from a MicroCenter and it's close to Best Buy. Plus, fast delivery from Amazon is available.
Both Superflower and Seasonic provide excellent PSUs. Have you received any other recommendations? What is your budget?
In general yes. However, they also provide subpar products. Similar to Seasonic S12III and Super Flower Zillion lines. No PSU brand escapes poor quality. Check if you have either of these available for you; the comparison page links are provided.
For a PC with a dedicated GPU, Tier A is suitable. Examples include Seasonic Focus/Vertex/PRIME, Corsair RMx/RMi/HXi/AXi, Super Flower Leadex Gold/Platinum/Titanium.
