I’ve detected a buzzing sound near the power supply. I checked the case and confirmed the noise originated from the PSU—no other components are making sounds. The issue occurs intermittently, isn’t getting louder, and there’s no burning smell or abnormal temperature/voltage readings. It’s unclear if this is urgent or if a replacement is necessary. I’ve also tried swapping the cord, but the buzz persists. No BIOS updates have been applied.

When you touch it and the buzzing stops or becomes softer, it might be the cooling fan. Could you inspect the fan area and verify if that's the source? I'm not intending to open the PSU at all, just to confirm if it's indeed the fan.

It stops when I apply pressure to it. I removed the pus and connected it to another outlet; it barely makes any sound. I've checked the fan while it operates, and it appears to be functioning properly.

The device might be supplying more energy than you're requiring.

A PSU should only produce the noise of the cooling fan.
