Hello! Your PSU (MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5) is making quite a loud noise. Based on other discussions and Reddit posts, it might be a faulty bearing. I’m hoping for another perspective before you decide to replace it. Thanks! 50 Plaza St E.m4a

That sounds like a broken fan bearing or something that is grinding against the fan. Send it back and ask for a replacement. The MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 is a very good PSU and this is one we recommend a lot, especially in the 850w configuration. Factory faults do happen unfortunately and this time it was you who got the bad one.

I thought the 850G was superior, not the 850GL. I own one and it works fine, but it only comes with a 7-year warranty.

The GL comes with a 7-year warranty, and based on my experience, if it has held up for 7 years, it should last about 10. Problems with electrical parts often appear before the warranty period ends.

Thanks! It's only been around about 4 months, so it seems to be faulty. Warranties are there for a reason!
