I’m excited about getting this service to my PC. While I usually avoid fast-paced shooters, I’m curious how much slower the input lag would be in a game like The Last of Us. I especially hate the delay from Vsync, so I’d want to know if it’ll be even worse.
If you're not fond of Vsync lag, you'll probably find PSNow lag much more noticeable. It introduces a delay of one frame, which at 60 FPS averages around 16ms—your actual ping is likely even higher. Plus, it requires sending the whole frame, making it slower. This could be three to four times the lag of Vsync, though it's just an estimate. I haven't personally tested PSNow, but I'm certain it doesn't match the performance of playing locally.
