It's hard to say I truly matter. Still, I might have turned it off during setup anyway.

I really want to view the data chart. They also seem to have controls in place so each user can only access a limited amount, keeping the outside network secure. (Inside net is unlocked.) It will overlap with the major Windows Service updates around 3GB. Let's check how it performs.

I could easily reach 150GB. About 50GB on my phone already.

I've used it around 500 times, though the site doesn't limit it to 300GB. Mostly I stick to about 75 per month. We all know we can reach the limit, but how often actually happens? (unless you're completely reinstalling your whole Steam library each month.)

I'd say I reach around 150 quite often, and hitting 300 would be tough.

I’m not concerned about exceeding data limits, though my ISP slows down peer-to-peer connections, which isn’t ideal. Fortunately, I moved to Linux.

Could this method be exploited by adversaries to distribute malware or viruses via the update system? Previously it was a one-way process, but with the change to two-way communication, my concern has increased.

In theory, yes. However, I believe Microsoft is more perceptive. Still, if you're not satisfied, you can simply turn it off. It's unlikely you were compelled to use it.

It seems you’re expressing frustration over a situation. The original message highlights several points: the post aims to warn those who aren’t aware, disabling the feature via Windows settings matches the guide’s instructions with images, there’s no mention of complaints about bandwidth costs, and you didn’t express any grievances in your own words.
