It's challenging for users with limited data or poor connections, yet this decision seems favorable from Microsoft's perspective. The sluggish Windows Update and P2P options could be beneficial.

Many users unfamiliar with updates might find themselves at a disadvantage after switching to Windows 10. It seems Microsoft isn’t always clear about this process.

Starting with a positive note, you're very useful in office building, schools, or mass computer farms. There’s no reason Windows updates should cause issues under bandwidth limits unless you’re using phone data for your PC. The updates are quite light, and with so many computers, real-world results are worth checking.

You can turn it off in Windows settings and during installation too. It’s not worth getting distracted.

It seems it's fine-tuned to be nearly invisible, and I suspect you won't reach the data limit. Most users stay within 150-300 GBS each month.

I assure you it’s likely under a few megabytes each month, given how many devices are connected to the system.

I don't believe relying on peer-to-peer for updates is problematic. In fact, it's interesting that we haven't tried this approach before, except in the open-source world.
