The issue is that WiFi isn't built for those distances. Most long-range WiFi gear works in a point-to-point setup, with transmitters and receivers at each location. I’d say you’d only get a few hundred feet at best, not hundreds of yards. Routers usually have stronger signals than most cards, so expecting range on a USB stick doesn’t make much sense—USB networking products are pretty unreliable. Even PCIe cards wouldn’t achieve such distances.

I understand @Donut417's point. For that level of service, you'd likely need APs installed throughout the area. You could try boosting your internet or Wi-Fi signal with a directional AP or extender, though it might not be ideal due to limited range and potential speed issues. Alternatively, using standard Wi-Fi signals across the entire camp should meet your requirements.

A few hundred feet in any direction would suffice, and now I just need a method to broadcast.

You need a WiFi router or wireless access point, which is why it was created.

I’m confused about how to connect these devices to the provider’s system.

This setup would work best with a router since it offers a DHCP server to assign IP addresses to visitors. Simply connect the web server to a LAN port on the router, and it will automatically broadcast the connection.

You can also utilize the mentioned web service such as Squarespace to manage your site. It simplifies handling and offers better support. (Note, Squarespace is the only one I can recall right now; others like Geocities and Angelfire are no longer available.)

The issue is that there’s no internet access on the camp grounds. It functions like a local private network service.

A web server is a computer program that handles requests from web browsers and delivers web pages. It acts as the backbone of a website, managing data and serving content over the internet.
