Hi, I have a Z97 Pro Gamer motherboard and was thinking about installing an i7-4790k and a GTX 1080. I'm not sure if that setup will work well for gaming. I'm just starting out with PC building and need some advice on the best components to get started. I just want some suggestions for a good gaming build.

I don’t have a budget for the parts, but I bought a PC from someone and it comes with a Z97 Pro Gamer motherboard. I’m trying to find out what’s best for a decent gaming experience. I want a good budget PC for gaming, considering a GTX 1080 and an i7 4790K, and it seems like that setup is solid for 1080p playback.
