The main reason I avoid anti-viruses is the distraction they cause. I don’t like having software alert me every few seconds. Plus, using one (I can’t recall which) really hurt my performance. My CPU and RAM usage reached 80% while it was running.

I've never seen anything suspicious from WD, and I used Avira, Avast, and others—it kept bothering me all the time.
