I received a troubleshooting request from one of my grandsons regarding a Lenovo desk top model Legion T5 26amr5. The issue is that it won't stay on or keeps shutting off. Before attempting any fixes, I want to confirm whether the power supply unit is a proprietary version. If so, I won't be able to connect my Corsair to check if the PSU is the cause. PSU details: FSP Model No. FSP650-70ALA. Lenovo P/N: SP50H29592. This unit is non-modular with all black wires and connector. It has been running for about 1930 hours, so I won't be working on it tonight but plan to start in the morning. Thanks in advance for any help. (p.s. He didn't ask for my advice before buying the PC.)

I found that your grandsons Lenovo desktop likely uses a standard ATX power supply, but you may require a 24-pin ATX to 10-pin adapter for the motherboard's odd connector and an extra cable for drives if the PSU doesn't provide enough SATA/PCIe.
